The NHCC presents
the Feast of Guadalupe Concert and
Celebration, an event that
commemorates the appearance of the Virgen of
Guadalupe to the Aztec Juan Diego on the
hill of Tepeac, outside of Mexico City, in
December in 1531. The Feast Day of Guadalupe
is traditionally celebrated on December 12th
in Mexico, as well as by Hispanic and Native
American Catholics in the U.S. The concert
will feature music composed in honor of
Guadalupe, from the 16th century to the
present. |
